1. What the tool does

The Computing Competencies Curricula Tool (C3T) is a web-based tool that allows users to build and compare computing competencies. These competencies are used to define the knowledge, skills, and abilities that students should have upon completion of a computing program. The tool is designed to be used by educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to help them develop and evaluate computing curricula. The tool is an implementation of tooling described in the CC2020 and IS2020 curricular guidelines.


2. How to use the tool
    Step 1 - New Competencies may be created
  • A competency requires a task statement
  • A competency requires dispositions
  • A competency requires knowledge-skill pairs
  • Step 2 - Existing Competencies may be compared
  • Select either a composite or atomic competency
  • Select another composite or atomic competency
  • The sufficiency of the first as compared to the second is shown
